The Coffee Code is first established in Sibu in 2014 and now has made a landing in Miri Times Square. A casual atmosphere good for group gatherings, the place offers an extensive menu comprising all-day breakfast, lunch and dinner options alongside desserts and drinks. There’s nothing quite like a hearty brunch plate of “Big Daddy” to kickstart the morning, and Classic Soufflé is one of the top picks. Favorites include the Spicy Garlic Soy Butter Beef Bacon Pasta, Sweetheart Waffles, Pizzas and more.

They are also well-known for their Matcha series which is sweet and vegetal but balanced by a bit of bitterness and that hit of umami that is so characteristic of Japanese Tea. It’s delicious, sweet but with a light bitter after-taste, creamy but not too much.

  1. Sunny Meido Café

Today most customers of Maid Cafes are surprisingly females, rather than hardcore Japanese fans! The first Maid Cafe, “Sunny Meido Café “, opened in Miri late July. It is kind of like a regular cafe, except that the waitresses are dressed as Japanese maids in maid outfits with cute short dresses, matching hair accessory (such as a frill or a bow) and stockings. They wear heavy makeup and cute hairstyles. The waitresses treat the customers as “go-shujinsama”, which means “master” and acts shy, giggling and smiling. It is innocent fun.

The menus of the Maid Cafè includes Yogurt beverage, milkshakes, croissants and more. However, in the Maid Café, the food is made with a little “twist”, as the waitresses will often decorate a customer’s food with cute designs or drawings at the table. For instance, they would use chocolate sauce to make cute drawings on the desserts they serve.

The experience will feel crazy and a bit unreal like in another world. Hearts are pounding, Don`t have to expect or how to behave in the café just enjoy the time there!

Opening hours: 1pm-10pm (Weekdays),  11am-10pm (Weekends), 5pm-6pm (Lunch Breaks)
Sunny Meido Café are closed every Monday.
Address: Lot 2484, Boulevard Commercial Centre, 98000 Miri, Sarawak
